Having trouble reading and writing a .bin file

Hi everyone!
i'm having a bit of trouble. When i click "Full read flash" i get the error message "reading ECU flash memory failed". The ecu connects up fine but nefmoto switches from KWP2000 to KWP1281 then back to KWP2000 to connect. i am using an FTDI cable and a bench harness powered but a bunch power supply running 14.2 volts. the ecu is a 032 HS. using baud 38400. the ecu is not in bootmode when i connect. if i put it in bootmode nefmoto does not connect at all. If i write a file i get "communication error was encountered while flashing." still using baud 38400 and memory layout 800BT. i have turned off the immo successfully. also have tried multiple ECUs all with immo off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much

in bench set up ?
have you powered pin 121 ?
I'm not expert, but I think it can be the cause of reading issues on bench good luck

Wow thanks johtc16v! I'll put 12v to pin 121! I guess I'll need the other plug for the ECU then right? I hope this fixes it!
