Haha. It surely cleans good, those pistons look new. Yeah dont weld with the door open unless you have huge gas flow We always save on welding costs by welding all the way in the back of the shop (in the summer) when the doors are open, so we can maintain low gas flow and still make good welds. Contaminated steel also can cause strange welding issues, similar to what you get from missing gas.

Lol I'm an amateur/hobbyist welder so your not gonna get any weld porn from me.
All the stainless is purged, much to the dismay of my wallet.
Was going to do a flex on each side.

Your hardware/ fabrication components looks nice. I've only seen one flex between the headers on STK's. Not sure if you need 2.

I agree one hundred percent one flex other no flex. Choose your flex carefully there is alot of junk out there.

update got new tig torch finally. got up pipes fully tacked up. Mistake 1: i did not fully bolt/secure the heads manifolds to the heads while tacking *im dumb* so had to cut off a few tacks. Lucky mistake outcome: Upon remove the manifold realized it was actually pretty warped on one side, put some dykem on it and ran it on a belt, and it was not going to seal at all on the end. Faced both manifolds nice and flat, fully bolted to heads now and working on finishing tacking and will start welding.
