Hi Nefmoto,

I have an 01 V70 T5, B5234T3 HPT engine, I'm trying to do a mild stage 1 tune.  ECU part number is 0261206828.  I searched extensively and wasn't able to find anything specifically for my ECU.

I was wondering if someone could double check the maps I've found.

KFZW - 0xC618, 8-bits, scaled by 0.75.  I don't know what the axes are (I don't understand how to find axes yet.  I was able to find other axes through searching and WinOLS auto-detect).
LDRXN - 0x1BF2E, 16 bits, Y-Axis at 0x1BF30, 16 bits, LSB first, scaled by 0.25. Whole table scaled by 0.023438. (Source: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=1434.msg13869#msg13869)
KFMIRL - 0x11988, 16 bits, LSB first, X-Axis (RPM) at 0x11950 scaled by 0.25, Y-Axis (%) at 0x11970 scaled by 0.001526.
KFLBTS - 0x19742, haven't figured the rest out, but I do believe it's around here.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've attached the *.bin file.  Please note, this bin file isn't from my actual car.  The file came from a car of the exact same spec as mine, I found it here.  I will link to that thread when I find it.

Thank you very much! I'd love to take a look at your bin and definition file, if you wouldn't mind posting it.  I'm trying to teach myself how to find the axes used by the maps, and a file that is known to be similar to mine would be very helpful!
Does this look correct for KFLBTS? http://puu.sh/refb4/88d7e47b77.png

You haven't searched/read enough. If you did, you'd have all the info you need already.
That's not KFLBTS.

Contrast, I agree.  I'll keep reading.  I don't know what I don't know (yet), if that makes any sense.  Feel free to point me in the right direction.

Have you read the dedicated Volvo thread? It contains stuff for your ECM...

I've gone through that thread from front to back several times, each time I learn a lot more.  I will look more carefully this time.  Thanks, Contrast.

I'm under the impression that late P80 ME7 cars with 1024kb flash have their own memory layout, which is different to the early ME7 P2 cars.

As far as I can tell, all 2002+ P2 ME7 tunes have maps in different locations to where mine are.  There is some talk of map locations being different with regard to North American market cars and European market cars-- mine is USA market, and I've noticed in the bin I posted, it is an EU market bin.
 W
hile my ECU has the same part number as the bin I posted, for the reasons I've just explained, it may actually be different than an EU spec car with the same ECU part number.
I will try and read my car, when I do I will post my bin file.

1.  Get the file from yor car this file is anchient, there's a  year newer update lol
2.  base your tune on that.
3.  The axis data do not reply on it, unless you ond it using IDA pro or is freaking obvious lolVolvo do a "Total can update, I'd suggest that", it's cheap an will updte all your cars modules.
4.  Log the car when tuning

Noted.  I just booked an appointment at my local dealer to have the car updated.  Last time the car was at a main dealer was probably in 2009 for the 105,000 mile service.
Here is my original 2001 T5 bin file.

Thank you!

Dream3r, I understand the way the software revisions work, I'm just trying to figure out which cars model years and engine versions have maps in the same place as mine.

Actually four I'd say. :-)
One 512 kB version from the early days, two 1024 kB with different layout and finally the later versions (from MY 2004) with yet another layout.

As I understand it, the two 1024kb layouts fredrik_a is referring to are the P80 1024kb layout, and the early P2 layout.  I'm just trying to figure out how much is the same from 2001-2003 P2s, so I can understand what applies to my car, all cars, etc.  I found this confusing.

you just need to man up

I sincerely apologize if I come across as lazy.  I will teach myself how to find the maps, I must be making this too complicated.  Thanks for the help!

Finally got the time to read my ECU.  Used a Galletto 1260 in boot mode with the Audi VW ME7.x.x 29F800BB profile.

I've attached the bin, will also upload to the original files section.

Just had a total CAN update performed at my Volvo dealer about three weeks ago.

Thanks,
Blair

Yup.  I read it with Galletto 1260.  I ended up downloading a copy of Galletto from this forum somewhere (I tried downloading from a few places until I found a copy which worked with my cable).

I ended up using a VirtualBox Virtual Machine to use Galletto, because I wasn't able to get it working with Windows 7 64.  I used an Audi profile in Galletto, there's two Audi ME7 boot mode profiles, one with the AM2F400BB memory layout, and one with the AM2F800BB-- my ECU has a 1mb flash, so I used the AM2F800BB profile.  The other profile is 512k.

Apparently some versions of MPPS will work as well.

I did all this on the bench-- haven't sorted out a way to flash in the car yet over OBD.
