ok figured out the vcp driver for windows 7, box is checked for load vcp. and still not getting in.

thank god for you my friend..... finally got vcp to work port 3. figured that out. now its  giving this.. havent had a chance to read up on it yet as its only been about a minute since i reached this point...

LOL at least i thought it was... I give you guys credit!!! This has me second guessing getting into tuning! Its very addicting didnt sleep last night and im back at my shop at 500 in the morning to see if i can get skc codes again...

Here I'll toss you a bone. Daz made this a few years ago before he passed. It's a me7.1/7.5 immo off eeprom. No skc or vin just write in bootmode and reinstall ecu away youll go. Good luck

Download the Ross-Tech VCP drivers and Update the drivers in device manager by pointing to the VCP files you extracted.

Don't forget to go into properties of the device after updating to the VCP drivers and enable the VCP in the advanced settings of the driver tab.

Drivers are all updated and working, i think im really screwing this thing up. lol all just to replace an ecu!!! thanks for the response.

Thanks for the reply, I thought about that on my way home, I'm getting caught up in so many programs and different things that my head isn't straight. I'll let you guys know how I do.

For future reference, you can use VAG-K+Can Commander to pull the ecu SKC/pin without dealing with bootmode. Takes 5 mins. There are a few good guides out there.
