Hi guys, Been playing with Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 Selespeed ECU about 7 yeras ago - now I just bought another Alfa 147 Selespeed - so time to play again . Funny thing that my new car has the same ECU: 261206708 277356576 3501819 But I need to go back to my old tuned files and understand it better. So going back to question. KFZW and KFZW2 maps are for ignition base but only when lambda=1 - so which map is for ignition on WOT where the lambda is < 1 ?? Read http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning#Timing and translated funktionsrahmen and can not get which one or what the formula is for lambda <1 Have full DAMOS for similar alfa but 444 version - and non linear offset is a pain - maybe someone has the proper DAMOS ?

Wrong.
ZWGRU 23.110 Application Notes The maps KFZW and KFZW2 are applied when the engine is warm for the respective camshaft control position, exhaust gas recirculation is inactive and lambda = 1. If the engine does not knock, the optimal ignition angle is input. For engine knock, the knock limit is input. read from funktionsrahmen ...

looooool Actually, at first, I read this as you telling prj to "read the FR" which I found funny. Re-reading it again today, I see you meant "you read this from the FR". Apologies.

Both maps are always used, regardless of requested lambda.

Ok so it make sense - KFZW and KFZW2 always used in short words when lambda=1 - when lambda<1 then KFZWOP with all others corrections (like knock etc.) to it as an optimal ignition map. So should be KFZWOP tuned or try to work with all others corrections maps to it (hard-way as is so many dependencies)?

No. You should do some more research. KFZWOP is reference timing for torque calculation.

Yes, they are applied at lambda 1. Applied means CALIBRATED at lambda 1. The maps values are filled with lambda = 1, that's what the APPL part talks about. Not WHEN they are used. There is an additional map for correction of the ignition angle through lambda shift. Before copy pasting stuff actually read what you copy paste...

Now I have the proper documentation - ME-7.3.1H-Alfa-2_0L-FunctionAndDataSheet.pdf so slowly going via over 1000 pages
