Hello guys,

I am 25 years old and I live in Austria (not Austrialia - no kangoroos here, only lot of cold snow). I am one of the uncommon kind of girls who is interested in cars. Not only interested, I know the technical things of combustion engines too.

I work as a software engineer at a big company which develops ecus and the software). But it is really different of how it will be developed, flashed and so one compared to series ecus which are installed in cars for the consumer market.

This is why i have registered here, I want to learn the "other side" too, how to read, flash, ... series ecus.

The first question for me is a little bit different. I want to read the software of the J393 control unit from a 2009 Audi A6 C6 (facelift). I want to compare this software with another one from a different A6 C6 because I think Audi has changed something regarding checks of number plate lights. The LED number plate lights from the Audi A5 will not work on every C6 and I think, a different application of thresholds will detect those LEDs as defect lights in some C6's.

Anyway, a heartly hello to all  Kiss
