There is a Russian tool that flashes them. I have it.

They say it does checksum too, but I have not been able to test.

My bad, I thought he was talking about DCM6.x from mk7 Golf 2.0 TDI. DCM3.7 is dead easy to flash, I can do it with my own tools, but I've never looked into checksums for them. They do have RSA though, so I'm not sure what can be done and how.

DCM3.7 is dead easy to flash, I can do it with my own tools, but I've never looked into checksums for them.
Not aware of any publicly available major tools that do this.

RSA should not be a problem on these if they are SH70xx based.

I said "my own tools", where does it say "publicly available tools"? I hardly ever use any of the publicly available tools nowadays, although I have most of them since back in the day.

Only durationmap works al other changes the ecu reboots every 30 seconds...
Fgtech works should Ok they say..

If you change 1 byte and then get the issue it is for sure a checksum problem.
But if you are able to flash the ECU with a modified file and actually have it boot up (exit bootloader), then I would think the software can be patched to kill checksum checks.
