DWVLN purpose for AEB 1.8T DBC
« on: December 08, 2016, 10:19:18 AM »
I have a purchased stage 1 file and when I compare it to a stock file I see the values in this map have been changed from 0s to between 1 to 6 degrees of timing depending upon RPM. I've read that this DWVLN map (16x1) is used to add timing under WOT for the m3.8.x and m5.9.2 ECUs.
Curios about the logic of tuning like this. Why not just make all your timing changes in KFZW? Seems like adding timing under WOT is asking for high CF; then again this map exists so it must be useful.
I've been playing a lot with KFZW values as I am tuning for E85 but wonder if I am missing something critical for the rational and purpose of changing the values in DWVLN.
Much appreciated if any of the DBC gurus can shed some light on the benefit of tuning DWVLN.
Thanks for whatever info you can share.
