I have posted in the flashing section as well, but as this is directly an Immo related topic thought I'd post here to clarify.

In order to make a med9.1 ECU work on another car you need to de-immo the eeprom (basic stuff) Then depending your needs may have to copy the 6C00-6F00 from that ecu flash onto your new flash ( assuming you want to run another software version on your ecu.

Now, from what I read MPPS wont write this area, however from testing if you copy the 6c00-6fff area from your flash onto another software version and flash that onto your matching ecu then the car will start fine.

MPPS needs to be set to do a full read in order to get this area as otherwise it seems to read the flash but leave out 6C00 area and as above it seems happy to write back this area even though I've seen many people say it wont.

Does anyone know which data/blocks is being looked for in 6C00-6FFF that locks it too the related eeprom?
