Currently working on a project, swapped a 2012 Maserati Gran Turismo Motor into a 1980's Datsun. I would love to save customer money by using factory harness and ECU, anyone can help with disabling Immo? ECU is Bosch Motronic 0 261 209 311. Thanks!

Can you read the e2p and post it? Cool project no problems with can controllers on such a new engine?

Thanks for the response, what software and hardware would you suggest is best for this application? Guided in the right direction I can get any files needed from the ECU and post them here. As far as CAN network I don't think there will be any issues.

Pretty sure you will have can issues. What about all the other modules in the donor the ecu likes to comm with? First step I would say is getting us the ecu part number, so we can derive what system it uses. I didn't get any Maserati hits using the Bosch number. Maybe you have a pic of the ecu?

Its ME9.1.1. I am not familiar with tools to extract e2p of this ecu, might be something on here though!

You guys think non engine related comm errors will cause drivability issues? Main goal here is to just get the engine running as it should.

Looks like maybe BDM pin pattern on the top right?

That CPU is also definitely a Motorola MPC5xx. There's a bunch of threads on MED9 here, which could be applied to your ECU. If you've never had experience with disassembly and stuff like this - you're in for a world of hurt.

Thanks for the reply, I'm actually pretty good at component level repair, I just never worked on an ecu before. I have a hot air station and all of the necessary tools required to remove and replace any chip set. I just need a nudge in the right direction and also if anyone thinks it will be impossible to disable immo on this particular ecu to just tell me now so I don't waste anyones time here. Any good source on a quality bdm100?

Turn the ECU 90 degrees anti-clockwise and read using BDM100. Search "BDM100 EDC16 probe" and use that to read from it.
When reading ECU, leave the furthest left pins untouched. i.e start left to right.

Ok great, I'm gonna order a bdm100, Bdm frame, and an edc16 probe. I will check back once everything comes in. Thanks again guys!!
