I have a 1.8t 5 speed manual transmission and I have a really bad tune that the previous owner put on the car. I was wondering if there was a way to flash a completely stock tune back on the ecu for my car?  If so where would I find a stock tune?  The car is a 2001 Audi A4 1.8t AWM engine code 5 speed. Thanks in advance.

So would I be able to just download that file and flash it to my ecu?

If you are in the market for a tune and would like the ease of downloading and flashing a dyno tested tune for a fair price check out https://instatune.sellfy.store/

Awesome. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow. Can the o2 sensors and sai be codes out on a stock tune as well?

Before you flash it make sure to Checksum the file, if you don't confirm its ok then you could brick your ECU.

Yes you can edit the stock file to remove SAI and 02 sensors etc etc. Get yourself the software for editing, then a definition file for your specific ecu and using the S4 tuning wiki you'll be able to find out which maps to change

How do I checksum the file?  Im relatively new to this type of flashing and tuning.  Ive flashed cars before but mostly subarus and they were easy.  Id like to just throw the stock tune back on and code out the 02 sensors and sai.  Ive looked at the wiki but still not totally sure how to go about actually doing it.

If you look about on here in the nefmoto software section you'll find links to me7check and me7sum. They're small command line .exe applications. There's even a guide on here showing you how to use it. Read all the pinned posts, they're full of info.

XDF's may be on here somewhere, you'll have to search for them (specific to your file). Or if you're lucky and post in the requests section someone might have one you can use.

http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page - have a look here (nefmoto wiki) do loads of reading, don't be an idiot like I was and brick your ecu. Get to grips with using me7check and me7sum play around with a few files you can find on here just so you learn to checksum.

Hope this helps

I think I got a good flash back on my ecu. Just need to know where to code out my o2 sensors to show passed now.

Start your search for an XDF, then learn how to make the changes. Once you have the XDF it becomes easier.

I have found an xdd for my car and used tuner pro to make some changes, just still not totally sure where or what to change to tune out the rear o2 sensors.  I believe I have tuned the sai to show passed.

MSLUB & MSLBAS for SAI,

Not sure what exactly you need for rear 02 but it's covered on the s4 wiki. Be sure to checksum the file before you flash as you have made changes to it.

oh, I changed something else for the secondary air.  Maybe I should recheck them.  I change both of those to 0 correct?  Alot of the things on the s4 wiki pertain only to the s4 that I could not find in the one for my car.  Help is greatly appreciated so far on this just need to figure out the o2 sensors then flash the tune onto it slap a turbo in it and hope to have just a good daily.

I used MSLBAS and MSLUB and yeah I zeroed them. You may have edited ESKONF? and turned off SAI relay?

Think if you want it to pass readiness you need to use MSLBAS and MSLUB.
