So, after finally getting my combi-valve block off plates and cam seals put in, i noticed my turbos have numbers written on them like they came from a junk yard. I did some more digging and noticed my auxillary coolant pump is unhooked as it has the wrong connector. So i did some more digging. looked at my heads and they say APB.. My car is supposed to be a BEL. So Here i am looking at the ME7.1.1 ECU and it says 4Z7907551R, but in VCDS, it reads 4Z7907551S. What gives? Should it not have the 551R file?
Also, can i safely flash the 551R file back and not get the stupid programming not finished code? I recently fixed alot of crap that was going on with this car and the g/f loves it, and has been driving it more than her MKV GTI. This (allroad) does have a tip trans. I also recently finished all the courses HP Acadamy offers and am itching to mess around with the tune. I am going to be opening my own tuning shop here in Southern Oregon soon hopefully and I'd rather mess with my fleet of 4 VAG cars before i start messing on customer cars.
Just wondering if i will run into the same issue as i did on my MKIV Jetta with the 032RN file. Or if the 551R file will better fit the APB engine and not get the code. She freaks out about CEL's.
I already know i can't pull files off my 98 A4, and can only flash, but that is time consuming, and i just got a GIAC stg 1 chipped ECU for $50 and am currently running that. So that leaves the Allroad as a test subject. Any and all input is much appreciated.
