just read recommended cables section and mine was one of the recommended cables to use and is a genuine ross tech cable, hex-can usb.. ftdi232r is the type and says premium licensing feature supported... im confused..
I've had issues with just using the genuine ross-tech cable
before any other ftdi based on a given pc. It won't install the ftdi driver correctly/at all, and then you'll get the "can't open fdti driver" error. The driver executable installer might work it these cases, but what I do that always works for me is just plug in a generic ftdi cable, which will install the driver, and then the ross tech cable will begin working with applications like nefmoto/me7logger.
