located the source of knock... i believe this stems from an overboost (28psi) on some initial test runs. EVERY rod bearing has spun believe it or not the log above was made on this motor just a few miles before i dropped the pan, took the car out to get lunch and heard some tapping in the mid range and was puzzled as it was quiet at idle and under load. i drained the oil and saw signs of trouble.   |

Might it be, that you located the outcome of the knocking. Are rods still straight?
