There's has to be a way to setup a ME7.5 box to just use a DBC TB. Disabling some of the functions.

any insight?

Thanks,

For all those wideband 1.8T swaps into earlier cars (mk1/2/3). It would be a lot easier if they could retain the throttle cable and use an AEB or AEG TB.

I have one in my garage I'd love to use a wideband ECU but don't want to install a DBW pedal.

Id use the PFL s4 or early Ibiza throttle pot on a bracket at the end of the cable. You can place it where you like within reason and adapt the bracket to keep the ratio correct on peddle operation v pot rotation .
