Hello,

I tried to copy Immo data from original cluster to the new (used) one, but then I cannot adapt the keys, because it throws me incorrect coding error in VCDS and immo light starts flashing twice as fast. Normal VCDS method did not work, because when i enter keys number, it always reverts back to 0. I tried to copy Immo id, SKC and VIN but no luck. I heard you can copy keys info too, but I do not know which hex data to copy. Maybe I am missing something. Can somebody help me to copy all immo data (icluding keys) to the new cluster eeprom?
Both files are here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ww5j77s8phri26j/drive-download-20170808T060125Z-001.zip?dl=0

Both clusters are VDO, both IMMO3.

What tool did you read clusters with?

I believe you need to make the VDO units into a new status for them to be switchable

I used Vag k+can Commander. I attached the screenshots of data I marked, that needs to be copied. I find Immo id, pin code and Vin data on both dumps, and number of keys that is already adapted (on old one it is 3, on new one it is 4). But I do not know which data represents transponder data on the new dump, because I think addresses is not the same as on old one. To better understand what I am saying, I attach both pictures.
P.S. Old cluster is VWK501 and new one is VWK503, so they have different memory locations. I did mods mentioned on tjwasiak's post: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7964.20

OK, I found the needed memory locations to change on the the another forum. Basically, as I mentioned, VWK501 and VWK503 have different memory locations, so the needed addresses to change are:

VWK501:

Transponder Keys: 0x020-0x040
Immo Key: 0x072-0x078, 0x07A-0x080, 0x082-0x088 (Split by a FF byte)
Number of Keys: 0x08A-0x08C
Immo Status: 0x08D-0x08F
Immo ID: 0x0A2-0x0CB
SKC: 0x0CC-0x0D1 (rotate bytes, change it to DEC. 1234 = D2 04)
VIN #: 0x0D2-0x0E2

VWK503:

Transponder Keys: 0x070-0x090
Immo Key: 0x0B0-0x0B6, 0x0B8-0x0BE0, x0C0-0x0C6 (Split by a FF byte)
Number of Keys: 0x0C8-0x0CA
Immo Status: 0x0CB-0x0CD
Immo ID: 0x0E0-0x109
SKC: 0x10A-0x10F (rotate bytes, change it to DEC. 1234 = D2 04)
VIN #: 0x110-0x120

I changed the data accordingly and voila, no more flashing immo led Smiley

You Sir did it the right way. You came back to update the thread and wrote a good explanation for the next one with the same problem.

Does anyone have a similar breakdown of the data locations for immo2 cluster dump files?
