I am currently helping a friend with his seat Ibiza cupra, he has a stage 1 map file from an old car which he saved. It's an 032 hj file, but his ecu in his Ibiza is 032 rp.

Does anyone know if there will be issues with cross flashing this file onto the new ecu?

Either try it, or make a Stage 1 in ten minutes.

I just don't want it to go into boot mode as I don't have a bench harness.

And I am fairly new to making up maps slowly reading and learning on the forum. Happy to tinker with my own car but don't really want to do other people's cars just yet. Just with him already having a map file he wants makes things easier.

You'll want to have a working boot mode setup before you do any flashing just in case...
