Hi guys,
A great compliment for this great site.
With ECU mapping, I am an absolute newbie. What am I doing wrong? I want to activate LC and NS.

System: Windwos 7 with Ross-Tech HEX-USB-CAN and Galletto 1260.
Car: Seat Leon 1m Cupra R MY2003 225hp / 1ML906032A 29F800BT (Galletto 1260 says that)

I read the ecu with NefMoto with a Ross-Tech HEX-USB-CAN with memory layout ME7 29F800.
Then I edit the bin file with TunerPro with XDF file (1ML906032A with LC V8.3.xdf of tonybig78) and put all parameters so the LC should work.
(Look at the Screenshot)
Then I adjust the Checksum with me7sum.
Now I load the bin file with NefMoto back to the ecu.
Car starts. But unfortunately LC does not work =(

What could be the problem?

Thank you and greetings from germany

I've never had this issue, personally, but I do keep it in mind.

I think the FOTMN=0 burning fuses only happens with the old ignition system with ICM.
And melted/burned coils only apply to some coils Smiley

I have personally never melted any coils and/or fuses using NLS/LC
and I have been pretty liberal with it at times  Tongue

But as fukenbroken said; you have only set the parameters for the function.
You need the main function and the call function for it to work Smiley

in my case (06A906032DR )
ftomn = 0 burned fuse immediately
and no issue when its set to 0.2

No. You had better learn ASM yourself if you want it.

Thanks for your nice answer. But listen I'm a absolutely newbie and i want to learn it. And how you learn anything? Read a little bit and test it. And next and next. Step by step.

I read many in the wiki from tony and also at the s4 wiki. So I learned by my self how read bin from the ecu. Open bin with xdf at tunepro. Checksum edit. And also flash it back to the ecu.

But my only question here was, what do I wrong? And not how I can learn it.

It's normal that you read and want to test it. Or do you first read a book and after you finish it, you think about the topic from the first capital? No!

I read many in the wiki from tony and also at the s4 wiki.

ASM is the LAST thing you want to learn. the obsession with LC is not a good one.

Start with actual tuning, not a gimmick.
