I read my VW Polo ME7.5.10 ECU using Argdubs 95040 software in the car using a KKL cable. I made a change to the bin file but the softwear would not flash back into the eeprom. I read that this would not work and that it would have to be done on the bench. So I have got some wire, clips a battery. But I do not want to burnout any components or damage the ECU, so I am asking if anyone who has successfully flashed  to a ME7.5.10 using Argdubs 95040 software on the bench can show me a wiring diagram for the ECU PINS and using a VAG KKL USB cable setup. I have looked, but I want opinions on the best diagram/wiring for this,

There is no "best" wiring diagram.

Bootmode as usual.

7, kline
16, 12 volts +

Whats wrong?

that bench working good for me
what about vcds? is it connects? did you try bootmode?

I can read the ME7.5.10 when it is in the car using me7_eeprom  and KKL cable , but cannot bench read it with me7_eeprom? Can I write to the ME7.5.10 in the car using me7_eeprom and KKL cable?
