Hopefully this thread can turn into an info thread for all things DQ500

So a friend replaced his DSG box with one from a diesel, so now obviously the DSG changes gears too early. Seeing how i could find the upshift maps in the DQ250, we thought I should be able to do the same on a DQ500, so we bought a Damos for the DQ500 (attached). The thing is either the maps are named completely different in the DQ500 or the search function on WinOLS isn't working properly, because I can't find any maps that relate to the upshift/ shift points in any of the modes. The only map I've been able to find is the launch control RPM lol.

Can anyone help me locate the maps needed to make the DQ500 shift at a later RPM?

I know you guys don't like spoon feeding, but I'd just like some direction. And hopefully the fact that I'm sharing this damos with you will persuade you to share answers with me.

While we're at it, if anyone wants to share maps for torque limiters, shift times etc. (the maps needed for a DSG tune) we can do that as well to make this thread a good source of info for anyone who wants to mess around with their DSG file.

It's not letting me attach the .rar so I've attached a txt with the link

So I've managed to find some maps of interest

KhsApplSchaltzeit
KrsApplSollgradient
KhsApplMRed
KhsApplUeberschneidung
KhsHybAppl_MVerspann
KknApp_LaunchControl
KknApp_MMotStabil
Kra_Kupplungsansteuerung
SocAppNll

But these modules only deal with Torque and shift times. I did find a module that has maps which specify maximum engine speed in "DSP_Hoehe_Absenkung". I think thats a step in the right direction but I'm sure there will be maps related to at what rpm to change gears

Never looked at one of these before, but had a quick look since I found out it is a Tricore.

The s19 loads directly into IDA Pro, all I did is select Tricore, I chose TC1797 as I didn't know which it was.

I searched for the values of a0, a1, a8, a9 because they are used as indices for indirect addressing in Tricore and they are as follows:
D0008000, 80028000, 80088800, 0

NBR, do you use IDA Pro?

Also try loading the a2l into ASAP2Demo, it will load the S19 too if in the same folder.

Having to fiddle with script to import a2l data into IDA because the layout of the address in the characteristics is a bit different.

Not tried it on ME7. prj posted one on here that looked more elegant than mine, but can post mine if that didn't work. Most of the issues are related to things being on different lines in different orders.

I don't have IDA yet, I'm not on that level  yetbut I will be trying it out soon. I was messing around with the DQ250 tune one my car and when my friend needed help I thought it shouldn't be too different and it should have similar map names but now I see it's much more complex but I want to learn it

That map looks like what I'm looking for, but that module says Hybrid/E-Driving. Is that not only for Electric Hybrid Cars?

Hi there,
Thx for this damos, it's hard top find informations about DQ500 and it's different than DQ250.

There are many maps "SchaltTabelle", in DSP_KASSEL and DSP_Parameters. All are maps for gears shifts (gear vs speed). Somebody has pdf with these explanations ?

Do you have the file you pulled from your friend's box, and what tool? Very interested in DSG at the moment. Would like to take a look.

It probably means that the car will change up a gear at a certain speed in km/h, I haven't been able to check because the guy's car is not running at the moment.
