That's Just The Nature Of The Beast...

« on: November 21, 2017, 09:07:22 AM »

Alright I've been working out problems getting my setup tuned with recent GTRS turbo install going and I thought I had fueling setup and well on, however I noticed that once I had increased requested load that my lambda control reaches 125% and AFR creeps up linear as pictured and attached in log. I have bosch 550cc injectors and had done the fuel filter last year and few months ago as regular maintenance so I'm suspecting that my fuel pump is not up to task or is getting lazy. Is this something anyone else has ran into? The fuel pump was done by PO at dealer around 90-100k miles and car currently has 198k.

If it is the fuel pump I was thinking of getting the DW65V but are there other solutions that would work that are better as far as cost and performance factored in?

DW65v should be able to supply enough fuel flow.
Another option would be an inline fuel pump (Bosch-044/Walbro 255)

Guides for doing these installs are all over the internet.

Consider converting to a return system?

Consider converting to a return system?

I probably would consider it if the fuel pump is ok up to task and this is a limitation specific to having a returnless fuel system instead. I would be able to head to my local junk yard and find a few 1.8t MK4s or 1.8t B5 A4s I can get components from if they would work  Smiley

Is this a returnless fuel system limitation?

Forgot to consider that you had a longitudinally mounted engine.
My bad Smiley

Yeah, return fuel system would be first on the list.

Yay. Remember, you'll need to make changes to the fueling strategy after you're done.

I had found this earlier today http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=460.0

Setting codeword CWPKAPP  and adjusting FRLFSDP ,and having flattened FKKVS is the way to go perhaps on initial read.
