Hello,

i have a Porsche 997 Turbo with Bosch ME 7.8. During the last days i´ve read a lot and compared different bins, but mostly ME7.1 or ME7.5

I´m looking for the 5120 hack. Most of the maps i have to change i can find in my bin, if i compare it with some bins from this topic, but I don´t know how to find the right codes.

In most files the codes in ME7.1 are for

pvdk_w and frhodkr_w 4D 65 (8bit hex)

and for

fvpdkds and  fho_w 87 02 (8bit hex)

Until today, i have no experiences using ida pro, but if it is necessary and somebody will help me and guide me in the right direction, i´m willing to learn that. I don´t want make just changes, i want to understand why i have to make the changes. Here is my bin and thanks a lot in advance

The main question is though: are you absolutely sure you need this on a 997TT ME7.8.1? What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I have to take a look in the Software, but in the future i plan to built bigger turbos on it. There are good hardware solutions for this car. And so i think, i will really soon max out the mal sensor.

I can make this, but no idea how serious you are about paying for solution - doing 5120 stuff on ecu's is not exactly 50 euro.

I have a 996 Turbo, same ME7.8.4 ecu, I think.  If I were you, I'd look at upgrading the MAFs -- the 997 Turbos have 2, one for each turbo intake path -- to another Bosch sensor.  I upgraded mine to the RS4 sensor, which is plenty for a mild build (up to 700 hp or so).  Works great -- I only needed to copy and scale MLHFM from the RS4 for the differences in housing diameter.

DDilinger gets credit for helping me sort out this solution.

Hello prj, maybe we can talk about prices and the hack via pm?

@jpurban

This is also a very interesting fact, changing the maf. At the moment i am right at the beginning with this car., but i am highly motivated.

This.

You don't really need 5120 until you go big turbo. And once you do that - you also have to do something about boost control if you don't retain VTG.
Meaning either a lot of code re-writing (re-purposing) or the "usual" EBC route.
For the second way - you don't really need a complete 5120 either. Can just carefully manipulate mshfm - rlroh - ps - rl conversion, so it doesn't cap out at "ps".
Have done that in the past (actually, combined it with speed-density conversion).

In the future i want to go with bigger turbos.

At first i want to say thank you for the response to my topic and for the solutions given here.

I think i have to learn a lot, concerning the me7. I ´ ve just read the S4 Wiki and have found a lot of maps in my File, trying to understand, how this ecu works.
