Hello,

Hope someone can help me with an issue I am having.

Porsche 996GT3 2004 car running Bosch ME7.8 and they run 1 x resonance flap as standard. I have converted my intake manifold to a later model 2007 997GT3 and they run 2 x resonance flaps as standard. My ECU has both resonance flap maps and when emulated with OLS300 the map is active.

I have checked a later car wiring diagram and it uses pins C4 and C16 for the flaps. Mine uses pin C4 and then pin C16 is not used.
I have checked pin C16 and there is a frequency flashing on the power probe led. No matter what I alter on the flap2 map nothing happens.

I have found the following:

SUMODE - No energization of the suction pipework
SUMODE01 - Energization of flap1, No energization of flap2
SUMODE02 - No energization of flap1, Energization of flap2
SUMODE03 - Energization of flap1 and flap2

No matter what configuration I have tried I can not even turn off flap1 so what am I missing ?

Any help appreciated.

Mike

Hi Mike,

maybe it is helpful:  Years ago I switched off the flaps in the ESCONFIG (or similiar) (ENDSTUFE CONFIG) bytes.
Are you sure both of your flaps are enabled in ENDSTUFEN SCONFIG?

( I recall from memory and would need to check in winols for propoer names)

As you are on a GT3 code, could you please tell me the content of the byte Motorversion in CAN Signalliste?

good luck

Hi Andreas,

Would you perhaps have the BOSCH Funktionsrahmen for the Porsche ME7.8 DME ?

I could work it out from that then.

The byte Motorversion is 5 but can not find the CAN Signalliste ?

Replied in your different thread. Copy-paste from there:

Been there, although a while ago.
You're talking about KLSU2 when you mention "the flap2 map"?
I'm a bit shady on the details, but also check CWSUKOR and CSU.

On top of that - make sure your (KF)KISRM and VE maps are correct to properly take advantage of the different intake.

Hi, The 2nd flap is KFSU2 and I am having trouble getting it to output to a pin on the ECU.

Not sure what to set any of them you have mentioned to...

do you get an error message for a non connected Flap2?

If yes, then it is connected.
If not, then you have to modify DEKON 7.40 Konfiguration , variable ESKONF

No error message.

Not sure of the settings for ME7.8 as have no function and data sheet.
