GTI with TT tune?
« on: March 02, 2018, 07:37:01 PM »
So I have a 2001 Golf GTI and saw this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLvvxMCUo5E
. Pretty much they state how the GTI is pretty much a restricted TT. So i was wondering if i were to get the original read from an Audi TT 180hp and flashed my 150hp GTI with it, will it work?

It is not exactly like that hardware and software wise. The biggest difference is the turbocharger. There is also a gti with 180hp or a seat leon with the same horsepower and they all use k03s instead of k03 turbo.

Loads of difference, as gt said turbo being the main one.
It's an easy upgrade being that the turbos are interchangeable.
But if you're upgrading from a K03-044 I would go straight to a K04-001
Cost the same as a K03-52/53/58 but has a little bit more headroom.

What software version is your mk4? If it's cross flashible with awp air you can cross flash the 180 file

So that means the information in the video is false and I shouldn’t proceed with preparing with this process? I haven’t done anything yet or done any reads but I just wanted to know if it this was possible, thanks a lot though

A 2001 MK4 IS a K03s.
So yes, you can. Use your stock file and up the boost, there's not much to it. Crossflashing will end up in tears.

If it's a AUM then it's a K03s if it's at ARZ it's just a K03
