I have kessy part number 3D0909135J.
I want to get a used kessy and clone mine onto it as a backup.
What tools do I need to acheive this?
I read about carprog. Can this be done with nefmoto soft and a ft232rl cable?
The kessy is a siemens VDO.

You can desolder the 93c86 or read with test clip and burn to replacement kessy.

I checked this tool. You have to desolder the eeprom. I'd rather not do that. Would carprog do the job with the clip adaptor?

Thanks for the link. I'm new to all this :-)
I guess I'm going to go with CarProg:
