Its seems immo2 - so pin only in cluster

But you wont read this cluster with commander , Jeager MM is not working with it , i guess vagtacho works

use vageeprom its a pinned post on this forum. Use with your blue kkl cable and read the cluster eeprom. Another option is immo off the eeprom for the ecu abd write a north american b5 cluster eeprom and be done with it. Nirth american cluster eeproms for b5 are not equipped with any immo

You still don't understand, what do you want do to at first?

you have immo2 ( no Vin number in ECU or cluster ) - so the pin is only in cluster

if its immo3 the vin  number is in ECU and cluster , also the same pin is ECU epprom and cluster epprom

You have a cluster with a small LCD ( or lets call it a half FiS display) , which is produced by Jeager Magneti Marelli - as i know there is a motorola chip inside , it can be read by Vag TAcho or a programeer

So you have three ways to do it. Tachometer is Jaeger (half fis - BIG Crap)...
One way is dump motor ecu 24c04 and IMMO off it, so car can starts in every condition, and it can be stolen easy in every condition  Grin
Other way is find 'VagTacho' and pull code over OBD, that is the most safety way.

Third way is with normal programmer - Willem, TL866, Batronix, etc.  Eeprom is stored under tachodials, so you need to remove needles, but keep in mind that Jaeger needles are made from very cheap plastic, and they starts to swing after removal.
So choose your way and share files with us, to help Smiley
