i have a question regarding software version compatability on bosch me7.5.1 ecu''s

i usualy tune bmw ms43 ecus so the bosch ecu is new to me, we usualy flash a specific software version on our ecus to make it more compatable to the more complete and upto date xdf's ect.

the software version of the bosch ecu on my golf 1.8t im trying to tune is 6A906032AR but there seems to be no xdf's avaliable for this version, is it possible to flash a differant 'known' software version that has a decent xdf on these ecus or will it cause problems?
