This is my first bash at using nefmoto so apologies if I have done this wrong.

I have generated a .bin file but I was unable to check it. Can someone check it and make sure it pulled it off the ECU correctly please ?

You can do that easily yourself using ME7Check.

You can find it here http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,447.0title,.html

The file checks fine:
ME7Check v1.11 (c) mki, 06/2004-07/2011
Checking file Audi S3 AMK Original.bin (size=1048576)
Reading Version Strings...
-> Bootrom Version = 05.12
-> EPK = 40/1/ME7.5/5/4018.20//24b/Dst04o/061000//
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - '0261206794'         (SSECUHN)
   - '1037360314'         (SSECUSN)
   - '8N0906018J  '       (VAG part number)
   - '0004'               (VAG sw number)
   - '1.8L R4/5VT     '   (engine id)
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - 'HW_MAN004'

-> No errors found. File is OK.   *********************

There was a post somewhere here referencing an article about dos shell usage.
Also, if the filename contains spaces, put " around it.

Also there is a primitive gui that makes it drag & drop if you're that way inclined.
