I'm curious.. because I have the absolute worst luck with these ECUs.. MPPS 16 can NEVER write or read them outside of the vehicle.. Nefmoto connects in KWP2000 protocol but can never give me any ECU Identification values.. bootmode appears to not work in nefmoto either at all for this type of ECU.. ME7 Correction doesn't seem to have the abilities to correct this checksum so I either correct it using winols (OLS262 to be exact fyi) or MPPS.. Also, another thing that grinds my gears about this.. Why MPPS 16 can't correct normal Bosch ME7 Checksum, however it CAN correct ME7-2002 Checksum?  Huh  That confuses the s*** out of me...

And I have tuned many files now for all different years audi/vw 1.8T and it appears that right after 2002 they went back to the original ME7 checksum for the remainder of production of 1.8T variants.. Does anyone know why Bosch implimented a different checksum only for 2002? It makes no sense.. was it to discourage tuning?  Huh Its very frustrating..

idk.. just wondering what other members thoughts are on this or if any veterans have some insight on this matter they wish to share.
