I have been tuning GM cars with EFILIVE for about 7 years now and enjoy it...
I have a 2001 BMW X5 4.4, I think it has the ME7.2 ecu.
Anyways, I not sure what to buy to start tuning. I mean as far as what cable, software(tunerpro, winols, etc). I am completely new to the BMW and euro tuning besides some basic work I have done with my Audi using Eurodyne.
I want the ability to control transmission functions, is this possible??
Any help with what I should buy and download to get started would be much appreciated.

ecuconnections.com has more bmw info for you, the site owner is a BMW tuner, if you ask on the forums there you may have better luck.
Nefmoto is geared towards VW Audi tuning and general motronic systems found in those cars. Sometimes we can help, but i have not seen any discussions in regards to your request thats why i think you will have better luck over at the other forum.
