I want to prepare a spare ECU and i idn’t really want to open up my original ECU, so it isn`t possible to make a clone.

I read e² and flash by BDM from ebay ECU an try ECU swap (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_IV_ECU_Swapping).

If i try to login (12665), VCDS shows an error: ECU send no seed. It drives me crazy. What is the problem?

Set IMMO off: car starts all fine.

1) Adaption via VCDS is possible until MY2006 (VW) only
2) Immodata are crypto, so just forget that login

Open your ecu and make full BDM read or read immodata from cluster/ecu OBD with special tools and write them to new ecu. But remember immodata is crypted, so first you need to encrypt eeprom to unique data from flash. So BDM clone is the only solution which makes sense without spend a lot for special tools.

Again learned something new about MED 9, thank you Smiley

I have IMMO data read from cluster via OBD. Is it possible to decrypt, copy (VIN, CSB, Login......), encrypt an write with BDM?

avdi with vn002 works well for these.
read immo data from old, paste to new, done. takes about 1 minute to adapt new ecu to car, all via obd.

But i don`t have the licence VN002.

I read that it is possible to reset the crypted Login/component protection. So i only have to plug the ECU in the car and it will learn VIN, CSB, Login.....is that right? Maybe somebody can help? Smiley
