As the rpm increased it appears as if the car is pulling timing as the Requested vs Actual are about 7 degrees off(Retarded). I replaced the VVT solenoid, the rings and the problem still remains. The timing mark was set on the crank at the T instead of the arrow. I used my adjustable cam gear to fix it, then it threw a correlation code. Lined up the marks again, pulled the valve cover, noticed the intake cams relationship to the exhaust cam is off. I don't have a picture but when I looked really closely I could see it clear as day.
If you're losing cam spec as the revs increase, then it's an oil pressure issue.
5.9% adjustment with actual and spec being +/- 0.5 on idle is perfect. If you were a tooth out, the spec vs actual would be miles out and the adjustment would be double digits.
