Hi guys. I need some advice on me 3.8.2 immo. Story begins with engine swap on a4 b5 1999 due to ori engine seized. Ori engine ecu me.7.5 iirc had immo3 on board, donor car came with immo2 including immo box. What I’ve done is I rewired the ecu plugs pins for me3.8.2. Engine kept starting and cutting after second, what was obvious. Then I stupidly logged into cluster with pin, even knowing it wouldn’t pair immo. Engine stopped starting, kept throwing error codes about short on all four injectors. It seemed like still immo issues to me, so I tried to switch immo off on ecu just changing the value A0 on dump to 50 without checksum, so I ended with “engine” blocked error and ROM error, and car still wouldn’t fire. Then I tried to call checksums. Both errors disappeared, but short on injectors dtcs came back. Immo box was thrown away. Any advice on it guys? Any help would be appreciated. I attached ori dump, and two modified. Mod1 is without checksums, mod2 is with checksums. Help, please Smiley

Test it and reply. Dump is ImmoOFF and checksumm checked. Do not forget to clean DTCs before engine start.

Which are your DTCs? if I understand correctly are using an 1.8T DBC engine with M382 ECU using a DBW engine type wiring harness?

Im getting short to ground errors on all 4 cylinders. I found these have something to do with fuel pump wiring to not to use relay, and have nothing to do with immo imho. It just must have been a coincidence car would not start after first attempt with immo off. And yes mate, you understood correctly:)

Injectors connection in ME7.5 wiring have only two connections: a constant +12v feed signal passed through S232 10A fuse and through fuel pump relay and ECU controlled ground signal to each injector. Just check that conditions with a tester and you should be ok.

The donor is me382, and fuel pump runs through a relay. I don't think its right.

Sweet, car's up and running. It wasn't a problem with immo, I did switch it off properly. There was a problem with wiring and a relay, it's all sorted now. Thanks Cheesy
