I have tried to write a file that was supplied to me to this ECU

Im using a MPPS V16 cable and it read out the ECU ok, see attached BIN

When I went to Write the new file, ECU got wiped successfully, then when MPPS goes to write file gets through security and begins Write, at this point the software alarms 'No reply from ECU'

The software then wants to email an error report after cancelling write.

Now my ECU has no software on it, I have tried to Write the Tuned file, the original and a dump I found on here

However the BIN I read of the ECU has checksum errors when loaded to WinOLS and when I try to Write using MPPS it also says checksum errors

I a nembie I know and this my first post, had read on here and thought I knew well enough what I was doing, seems perhaps not, can anyone suggest a method to fix my issue please!

This is true, but would be nice to do it myself

Ill do a short intro,

Im Stephen

Mechanical Engineer by Profession, degree quailifed

Mechanist also, furhter education qualifed... (got a small machine shop in my garage)

Trying to learn how to ECU program, Im use to serial communications and machine programming for CNC equiment and have used ODB diagnoistics for various cars over the years

Worked on cars for the last 20 years and same with electronics.

Im not completely unversed in computer programming or how a IC engine works

If I can learn how to Flash this ECU my next step is to learn the programming as I plan to make my own 'hybrid' turbo charger

Now Im not trying say I know it all, far from it thats why I m here. I want to learn, I dont think theres much I can give back to this community yet, but with time I really hope I can
. Im hoping this intro will serve to show how Im capable to understand the workings of flash and programming

You can fix it no problem

1) buy a galletto cable on amazon to get it quick
2) Read the eeprom using hte tool on this site
3) share it or fix it yourself
4) check your current read for CS issues with (easychecksum/me7check)
5) Update it if needed with Me7sum

Boot mode flash it back after soilding a little switch.

OR spend a ton of money dragging your car somewhere for them to adapt it. Just went through the same exact thing almost.

literally nothing you listed applies to the OP's situation.

Now considering all these options.

New friend might be local chip tuning company and  a rep franchise
