I have audi A4 B6 1.8T 2003 with RB8 cluster. Now i want to put in S4 B7 2007 cluster. As I can see on internet I must be really cerful with this clusters beacuse they are so easy to brick.
I put S4 in my car and it show 'SAFE' at odometer and as I espected car start and shut down after second.
I will do immo off in ECU, but second problem I have is warrning for max oil level. I must get rid of that beacuse is realy anoing. Maybe some resistor on oil level wire?

Swap the s4 gauges , leds etc - edit epprom to fit new scales and ready Wink

I made a similar mod for somebody  - changed a a4 b7 2.0tdi cluster to a s4 b6 cluster ( the a4 b7 was after a swap to 2.7bit engine and added quattro )

Looks like a s4 cluster but the pcb is from a4 b7 - everything works nicely

How hard is to edit RB8 epprom. What tools do I need?

maybe some coding or adaptation? the sensor sends a digital signal to cluster , maybe the cluster thinks that it nas a v8 under hood and that's why oil Is max  - I will check in etka if the numbers are different

the other thing is as I remember - b7 clusters recieves coolant temp. by CAN or am I wrong?
