I re-flashed my 2004 R32 ECU a few days ago and it ran great for about an hour as I drove to a friends house.  When I went to leave it wouldn't start so I dropped my spare ECU into the car and decided to try later.

Since then I have:
Read the flash and compared to original file.
Re-flashed with NefMoto 100% successfully.
Re-flashed with Galletto in OBD mode 100% successfully.
Re-flash with Galletto in Boot mode 100% successfully.

There are no codes thrown in the ECU that show up in vag-com, but the car just cranks - no start. Full communication with ECU, CEL turns on when in accessory etc.

I'd appreciate any help/ideas.  Thanks!

Sure your file doesn't have a checksum error?

The your original stock file to the ecu and see if that works to eliminate the ECU as faulty.

Post your flashed file and we'll check for checksum errors, or use ME7Check to check yourself! Smiley

Found out me7sum doesnt do all the bins.

Such as? If you are running a broken NLS patch (which you didn't write or know how to debug), that doesn't count.

The source to me7sum is available. If it is broken, and you want it fixed, it is your responsibility to help fix it.

Question though.. if you flashed an original file on the ecu with the bad nls patch, how come the car still wont start? I created my own post about this with file. I did ecu check and found errors. will find out if tonight if that was the problem.
