I've tried to get help on forums online and read a lot.  I realize this probably isn't the forum to post, but i'm desperate.  I can't get rid of these codes 17705, 17544, and 16891.  It's a tt225.

If someone could point me in the right direction as to what I need to log to determine the cause of this problem that would be much appreciated.  I've just thrown parts at the car in a futile attempt to fix this issue.  My mileage has increased though significantly from 23-24 to an unbelievable 31 yesterday crusing at 55/60.  The code still came back. 

I did more stop and go driving yesterday than I do in a week so I believe it's only at idle this is happening.  I can go a week driving to work without the light popping on sometimes.  If anyone wants to know what i've replaced i'll post it, but it's pathetic.  I have a vas5052 I can figure out how to log with, my damn laptop freezes when logging through vcds sometimes.  If there's another program that would be better to log with that would be great.  If it takes paying someone to help me figure this out I have no problem with that, but i'd like to learn how to properly log.  I can't believe all these years I considered my self a technician and not a parts changer, but this has really grounded me in reality.  I thought because I was not as bad as the people I worked with it meant something.

The only sensor I haven't replaced is for the sai combi valve.  I smoke tested the sai pump and lines last night with no visible leaks.  I'm going to vacuum/pressure test the combi valve today and check fuel pressures. 

I so far found a leaking diaphragm for the wastegate actuator and a small boost leak.  The car has all new silicone boost hoses.  There are only two check valves that haven't been replaced on the vehicle.  One for the booster and the one right next to it wrapped in the heat protective snap cover for the evap.

Please don't make everyone look these up. Copy/paste the output of a VCDS DTC scan. Also, please don't post screen shots or a potato cam photo of the screen of a laptop or scan tool.

I should've posted that info sorry.  I cleared the codes but this is what they are. 

17705- pressure drop between turbo and throttle valve (check dv!)
17544-Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean
16891- Idle Control System RPM: Higher than Expected.

I'm not sure if I can use a genuine VCDS hex v2 cable with the ME7Logger. 

I'll probably just pay for a legit version of vcds and post on their forums.  I'm not sure how i'd pay someone to help me on here and I don't expect anyone to put the time in to help for free.  I know nothing about reading logs.

Try to get KKL cable with FTDI chip inside. Then log with ME7loger

You have a post turbo leak most likely.

Agree with Blazius. Pretty obvious boost leak.

You wont get any valuable info from vcds logs (except for fuel trims and misfires) and the forums are less than useless for ME7 specific things compared to nef.

Again, much of this forum is about logging and diagnosing logs. And there is a section dedicated to logging on the tuning page.

Not sure if you have noticed those links, or really any of the stickies on any of the other subforums.

Don't need to log tbh.  Leak, so bad it's tripping the light and raising the idle.  Smoke test.

This is more help than I got everywhere else. Thank you guys.

I trust the opinion of people here more than anywhere ive posted.

Smoke test showed nothing, ill buy a boost leak tester. It has to be one of the intercoolers. I didnt see any oil getting pushed out of them and there was a lot of oil when I flushed the intercoolers with kerosene to clean the oil residue.

If I pressurize the bottom port of the n75 is it supposed to leak air to the TIP?  I returned the first one and the second did it as well.

Injector cups, o rings, manifold gasket and check valves are new except for two check valves.

Requested vs actual was slightly different but it still makes 15 psi.  One person had a cracked turbine housing causing the lean code,  but I dont think the 17705 or 16891 would be present. 

Hopefully one day I will have the time to learn how to tune myself. Then id have a much better understanding of everything.

You guys nailed it.  I was able to use a cap from my coolant pressure tester kit and a leakdown tester hooked to a compressor.  At first I listened to idiots online and used a 3" pcv cap that had the threads turned down on a lathe to pressurize through the tip and all it did was vent through the crankcase.  Hopefully those turbo seals are rugged or i'm going to have to replace that next. 

One of the first things I repalced was the oem suction jet hose setup for the pcv.  I decided to go with the 034 motorsport silicone setup and it uses a standard pcv valve.  Their piece of shit aluminum pcv valve is leaking.  That's what I get for trusting that company.  I read their motor mounts are garbage while doing research and went with BFI.  This cost me a lot of money, but i'm a complete idiot for not doing a boost leak test immediately.  This is teh first time i've really worked on a turbo car, and i've never thrown parts at anything like I did with this.

Can someone let me know if it's normal for the pcv valves to leak when pressure tested?  I even checked the old suction jet pump and it leaked a little.  I ordered a new OEM pcv as well and it leaks.  I guess considering it's a self contained system and the breather feeds back to the TIP post maf it's acceptable. 

I have no idea, but i've decided that if I can't fix this over the next month i'm going to sell it at a huge loss.  I didn't think it was possible to be effected by a car to the point of insanity.  This was the nicest car I ever purchased and it's been by far the biggest let down in more than one area.

did you disconnect and cap off the pcv port on the intake? (not sure if the tt has this, the 2.7t does)

I plugged the port on the intake for the PRV. Then I heard the oil gurgling. Am I supposed to pressurize the system through the turbo inlet pipe?  It makes it impossible to hear leaks from the gurgling oil in the pan.

The pcv under the intake was leaking it wont hold any pressure.  Brand new oem one same thing. Im going to install the oem designed pcv hose that uses a large check valve.

Yes, you may hear some gurgling. Smoke test is the best way, you really dont need much pressure that way either.
