Hi I got an audi TT EU MK1 dashboard (or instrument) which is not responding at all.

At the beginning the fuel gauge was the only issue.
Then when I re soldered all the solder point inside, the main display goes off and never came back
I think it is because the soldering iron was defective and have ~AC 12V on the tip (not mine  Undecided)

Small display on both sides working (and show date/time and km) but the center display is full off.
When the dashboard is inside the car the IMMO is working. The car engine can start but RPM gauge not moving. (It does before)
When I'm testing the dash with my VAG-COM the center display can goes FULL black but that's all. And no gauges is moving.

I have ordered the main screen, and the little chip who drivings small gauges motors. I 'would like to make a copy of the IMMO data before touching anything more. And I have ordered another Dash board (Part number are not the same) to have supply parts and try to transfer data inside.

Which are my better options from what you think ?

Many thanks in advance for any help !

NB : as I said in my description, I'm electronics engineer, so I know how stuffs works and I can do things, but I'm not a professional in car electronics (Immo, ECU, cluster... )

Hi,

I bought a VAG-tacho. Do you think I can make an memory dump from dashboard to an other ?

Alternative, could i reconfigure a used dashboard to be compatible with this car ? with VAG-tacho, it seems i can find pin code and with VAG-com I can configure it ?

Thank you in advance for you support !
Any help would be much appreciated

If you can find pin you can adapt used cluster in your car with VCDS

No you don't need key to get pin code. Only cable and program for read EEPROM
