Swapping immobilizer 08E 920 931 P
« on: July 21, 2019, 12:30:22 AM »
Hello,
I try to learn how IMMO4-C with Challenge ID works and do some tests with reading, changing, writing EEPROM dump.
I have one original immobilizer that work in the car with correct immodata and one other immobilizer that don’t work (is use this for testing)
So my question is:
Can I put the test immobilizer in the car for testing result without any future problems? If I change back to the original one would everything works fine with iMMO? Or the car (e.g. ECU) blockes when a wrong immobilizer was sometimes built in?
I won’t destroy my working car :-D.
Perhaps someone can tell me what’s happen when changing sometimes between orig and test cluster.
