hi there, im a total noooob so go easy
i asked how to delete SAI n112 n75 and some other things, i have managed so far to read my ECU with nefmoto.

marty said to do this...
 "Project configuration bits (tell the ecu its no longer equipped with it and turn off testing) end-staging (to configure i/o used or not used). Project configuration is also known as prokon and endstaging is known as eskonf. Hope you're ready to learn German accrinims. Read the s4 tuning wiki under emissions and eskonf. You'll need a map pack for the stock tune on your car. You'll need to read the stock tune on your car too."

i do not understand where or which program i would need to do this on, i have my file saved to my laptop and WILL NOT upload it untill its right.
so where is project configuration bits ? what is a mappack and where can i find it?

i have tried searching this forum but i do not understand what i am looking for so im unsure if im reading the right things, i have read the s4 wiki too, but this is still not making sence.

this is my ecu info

thanks to anyone who can teach me.

The Dtc's for ABS and AIRBAG modules are also in there permanently as i have removed them from the wiring loom so i would like to remove them if possible  ?

here is the info ripped directly from your posted bin. use this to direct you to the map pack needed
Code:
==============================================================================
me7check v1.12 (c) mki, 06/2004-05/2012
Checking file C:\Users\Dylan\Desktop\1st read.bin (size=1048576)
Reading Version Strings...
-> Bootrom Version = 05.12
-> EPK = 40/1/ME7.5/3/4013.00//24b/Dst02o/180700//
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - '0261206887'         (SSECUHN)
   - '1037360128'         (SSECUSN)
   - '06A906032DR '       (VAG part number)
   - '0002'               (VAG sw number)
   - '1.8L R4/5VT     '   (engine id)
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - 'HW_MAN004'

-> No errors found. File is OK.   *********************

for map packs there are two kinds  one for tuner pro (.xdf) and one for winols (.kp)
upon editing your file. ALWAYS run the checksums and make sure they are corrected by using a program called me7correction.
all info on this topic you are seeking is all over nefmoto and in the s4wiki

Oh. Never knew that existed.
i prefer using it over the commands. it has has to be the most noob friendly checksum correction.
i don't think it fixes the rsa issues though with the auto script.
assumed you knew what it is as i think i have seen it in some threads before.

doubt you do but in case you wanted it, here you go.

So. I'm still none the wiser as to what a map pack actually is so if someone would be able to explain id be grateful. Also when I use the info ripped from my ecu ...shown here....

Checking file C:\Users\Dylan\Desktop\1st read.bin (size=1048576)

I can find other people with maps... I can import them and put them side by side to mine.
But how do Identify which map is for what ?
Thanks for any help.

Practise, notice patterns, etc.

If all you want is the deletes done, fire me a PM to remind me, I can do it tonight.  You need more than ESKONF to delete those, you need CWs too.  Not sure why you are wanting to delete the N75 - that shows you don't know the 1.8t, let alone tuning it.

Thanks for the reply

I was going to delete the n75 as it had already been removed and plumbing plugged up previously, but I have since installed one.
I'm grateful for the offer but at the moment I'd like to learn how to understand mapping.
I'm 36 and begin uni next week for motorsport engineering so mapping would be very useful to learn.
Any explanation of where I'm stuck would be absolutely amazing.
Thanks again

The maps relevant to most kinds of tuning are all documented in the s4wiki tuning page. Presumably you have at least skimmed it.
