Hi to all, i want to share my progress with S4 B7 - P601 problem. After a lot of reading,i found that - info for 95p08 dump information is not very common like 95040 .
For checksums i use Turboat's eepromtool04 , this is the only program that works with 95p08.
Tried only with checksuming ,but i have no start and DTC P601. Then i see that dtc status is "33" located 0h0001C, 0h0002C
I set it to 00 and try again, checksumed it , solder - and the car starts!

Big thanks to turboat ,and all forum contributors!

I posted a flash patch years ago on this forum in the checksum disable sticky that autoclears the death code on first key-on, and prevents it from ever being set.

Sometimes searching helps save time.

i am just curious how you end up with this code on st10 files anyway?

also, the eeprom chksum you do not need a tool. just add or subtract from the chksum at the end the inverse of whatever you added or subtracted on that page.

Just as a note if you use the Blue Vag Com Cable and you do a Diff Write i can "not" brick or break the 7.1.1 ECU. IF it doenst start after the first flash but you did the Checksum on the ROM, then just do it again. it checks all the pieces and closes out the ECU correctly. No bootmode.

That eeprom tool works well though.

Things i tried.

1) Pulled the cable out mid flash
2) Turned off the car mid flash
3) flashed a non CS file to it

All were recoverable with Nefmoto / Blue Vagcom cable / Diff Write. - Note: Full write didnt work for whatever reason.
