I am trying to test if my ECU is going into boot mode. It's a Volvo ME7.1 with 29F800. I am grounding Pin24 before applying power.

I am using Ebay Vag-com cable that I loaded Rosstech ept file onto. Nefmoto recognizes the cable. I am just not sure what output I should be seeing to determine whether or not it's going into bootmode. I tried reading using Galletto with exe modded with cable serial and it's saying boot mode inactive.

This is the output I see in Nefmoto.

Does this mean that it partially connected?

I've tried using Rosstech and FTDI drivers with same result. Does the order in which I switch the power on matter? Can I use same power supply to power both my OBD cable and the ECU and flip them on at the same or does the OBD cable need to receive power before the ECU?

I am not trying to flash with Nefmoto. I am simply trying to see if ECU is going into bootmode.
