Forgive my ignorance prj, but beyond time where is the cost in a DIY tune???
Last I checked fuel and replacing blown engines wasn't free.

That said, unless you foolishly disable more than a few of the built in ME7 safeties, it is almost impossible to blow a motor.

K04 will bend rods quite nicely with excessive boost spikes to 1.6-1.7 bar Tongue

Brute rods installed....learned my lesson on that one. I put the ECM into boot mode and read the bin file successfully. Ran me7sum and it fixed all but one checksum, but said the file started with “0” and questioned if it was corrupt. I tried a few times to read the Eeprom using the command prompt eeprom tool from this board, but was never able to get it to connect to read the eeprom. What I found strange about that was I was using the same bench read bootmode sequence that was successful to read the bin off of 2 different ECM’s. When I have some free time again I will post some screen shots.

Also totally unrelated, but I did get the car to idle on the 630cc injectors by modifying KRFTE. Fuel trim fluctuating on either side of 0 mvb 33. Super elementary I know, but its a start.
