Starting Boot_mode ... FAIL ... No echo, check cable. (error=0x20B07)

I've tried different cables with different ports, I've tried different ecu's, different harnesses, different power supplies, etc. I can't get either of my ebay dumb cables to work with ME7EEPROM.EXE. They were working fine a few weeks ago and then bam, nothing.

where to start....

Is your calbe recognised in device manager and driver is ftdi 2.12.28?
Is nefmoto flasher detecting your cable?
try me7_95040 instead of me7eeprom and post some pictures next time

Have you put it in a different USB port?

I got ME795040 to work but now having issues with Vag commander 2.5. This also went down when my original blue cable died. I kept getting SH cables instead of FTDI cables, that ended up being the issue.

So now ME7_95040 works but again, Vag commander 2.5 does not recognize the ecu when it did before all this started going wonky.
