Hello =)

A friend of mine destroyed his key of his S4 B5.
No Problem I said, just get a new key and we will adapt it.

But in his car there is not the original ECU. Additionally its immo off. From what I have read immo must be on to adapt keys to the cluster.

My problem: how to turn back immo on when I have no original EEPROM-File?
And even if I turn immo back on. The Login Code of ECU and Cluster will differ or not?

Maybe someone can sugest anything=)

Thanks!

you need the immo pin of the cluster, to match the key, post the cluster reading,

Immo has to be ON
ECU and CLUSTER have to be paired before a key can paired

Thanks for your answers.
I already have the Cluster login.
But how to turn immo on in ecu and pair it to the Cluster afterwards?

Read a copy ECUs EEPROM file (not the flash .bin), then use tunerpro to edit the file and update the SKC to match that of the cluster.

Then, use eeprom tool
http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6134.0
to set the immo on and fix checksum. It might be possible to change the SKC via the EEPROM tool (instead of in tunerpro), I just dont remember if this feature is built in, likely so. Note that eeprom tool can be used as standalone command line program or it is even easier to use with the visual logger GUI.

Once you have the EEPROM file ready, then you will need to use a bench-flash cable to flash it directly back to the ECU in boot mode (not via the cars OBD port!).

With matching SKC in cluster and ECU, and with the immo turned on then you should be able to pair new keys to the IMMO.
