hi Guys,
my control unit hanged again. I suspect water damage.
now I have to buy a new one. I have a good offer for a passat 3b 1.8t me7.5 with the part number: 4B0906018DH and bosch number: 0261207928 to get. I would also love to strike, but would it work at all? could I transfer a golf 4 / audi a3 me7.5 dump to this control unit and it would work or are they very different control units?
I have everything for the rest of the conversion from m3.8.3 to me7.5. only I have not found a golf 4 / audi a3 control unit which is comparatively good and cheap.

aaa understand. and there is no way to change the boot version? is there a me7.5 from the audi a4 or passat that has the same boot version? As far as I know, the pin assignments are the same as for the A3.

Dude the bootrom is OTP. Yes there is a way to change it - replace the main processor with a new one! For all intents and purposes NO. Also, on transverse engine platform you NEED to get a waterproof sealed ECU, because it gets rain on it. A 4B will never ever work, because it's not protected in any way, it won't fit the bracket and it is designed to be housed in a weatherproof box.

the control unit should enter a golf 3. Since I already have water damage, I decided to pack the control unit inside. therefore, this shouldn't cause any problems. The only thing according to your generous information would be the bootrom. if I can do that simply by swapping the main processor, it wouldn't be such a big problem.
such main processors do not cost the world now or do they?

Currenty i tested last week CG passat ecu crossflashed from 2.0 N/A ALT on AMK engine cuz it was with ABT tune wokrs great , but they differ hardware one is not water resist (without sealant on edges) and it uses diferent case it will be hard to fit. DH will not work i think it uses newer processor if im not wrong.

As long as they have the same bootloader you can cross flash. You should also move over the eeprom dump. You can find the bootloader version with me7check. I put an ECU from an A4 in my Golf, just added some black silicone around the edges to seal it. Works with no issues so far

Replacing and programming a such processor is strong three digits labor, the processors are probably discontinued. If not, the chip will cost more than an ECU. What's your obsession with this? A proper ECU is like 25-40€ on eBay.

No i got the ecu from NA ALT i think 2.0l 5v auto and flashed it with 1.8t CG and it works perfect. Now its mounted on 1.8t leon With AMK engine because it was with ABT tune.
