2001 amu audi tt usa 225 1.8t
3” turbo back, dv, 3”tip, fmic, phenolic spacer.

I just started with nefmoto.
Ive gotten as far as downloading the stock bin from my ecu.
I was going to simply use nefmoto to clear the emissions stuff,
But i think i might need a tune for the car.
I think i have too many mods for the stock tune.

My goal is to have a nice tune running as much boost as possible later,
But for now i would just like to drive the car safely. Doesn’t need high power. 
I just dont want my mods to make it run lean and/or firce into limo mode.

Would it be safe to just find a simple free base tune or stg1 tune and flash it?

As a noob im not sure if those are safe to drive on, or are they just used for a baseline to start tuning yourself?

These mods might add a few HP but can really do no harm to a stock tune.

I recommend you read the S4 wiki and check the community stage 1 thread. With a bit of reading and learning everyone on here can make their own stage 1 tune. Don't flash some stupid generic stuff do it yourself.

Thanks. Ok. There might be something wrong with my car then.
Or perhaps i fiddled with the n75 screw too much because i hit limp mode often.
What about this. It seems more legit that a free tune.

You should not have touched the n75 screw at all. Period. End of story.

In fact, you should unfriend and block whoever told you to do that.

Find a reputable tuner that will *work with you* and will support their tune or DIY.

Is that going to mess up any future tuning?
I bought a cheap replacement off ebay, but it only boosts 9lvd or so even though same part number.
I also heard that the original part “c” part # was repalced by an “e” valve.
So i bought an oem e valve lying around.  Im scared that it wont match up with my ecu either.

I guess i could get a matching used part from matching car....
