Hi Folks,

I use Me7 and Me3.8.3. Normally I wrote the Me3.8 (that version with 29F200 PSOP) with soldering and with an epromwriter like Batronix BX, some of that ecu I use with a socket, so I dont have to solder that chip everytime. That all is working ok. But I heard about a possibility to flash that chip through OBD port. But I havn`t any idea how to do that? Is that nonsense or is there a possibility or a tool that can write to that ecu? I dont ask for the Version with plcc44, thats not rewritable. I mean only the PSOP44 Version with the 29F200 flash memory

Actually I use a Galetto 1260 and a MPPS V18, VCDS (HEX+Can), some FTDI Cable and a K+Can Clone for OBD programming and diagnosis.

I`ve read about the MPPS V18 on the EOBD.UK Homepage, that ME3.8 will be writable. But I aw, ist not correct. That option is not included in the software.

Is there any idea About a possibility for OBD flash?

Thank you.

Select M5.2 ECU type but not sure if the flash happens through the OBD port or on the bench only, I've only ever used chip programmer and SMD soldering station for those.

I have no logs because I have a boost gauge (makes things easier)

Only m5.92 and m3.83 are port flahable. The earlier versions are chip burner only
