Hi
I been bricking two ecu:s now and i cant tell why...Ofcourse they are spares ..
The eeprom is working perfectly. Nothing is wrong there!
When the tune is flashed and the car start but... it runs for 2 sec with pedal to the metal and runs up to 2500 rpm.. then you hear klick klick then it dies for 1 to 1.5sec... the runs again for 2 sec.. klick klick then the same again and again and again .. you get it!
But then you try to reflash, it won´t go into bootmode or kwp mode.. seems like a bricked ecu....
I wounder if anyone can help me pointing in the right direction on where i did something wrong...Because im cluless
The car is a Audi A4 quattro 1.8t 190hp -04 and ecu is 8E0909518AS.

If so, itemize the modifications you made, map by map.

Stockfile works...
Modifed stock with maps work....
But i wanted something more so i can get by the yearly inspection of the car like second 02 del evap del left foot braking. And from there it went BAD!
But i cant figure out whats wrong!

make one change at a time and find out which one causes problems. |

Yepp.. that would be the way to go ... but would like to not brick a third or fourth ecu.... .. .. ebay runs out of ecus....  |

But after the flash ...... nothing works..... and before the flash it was a happy ecu with a working bootmode!
I just bought a new ecu.....

Type here list all mods you done, and on wath adress change is made.
If you have xdf, kp. or Ols even better

...
have been trying for a while to get a good file.... but it was with xdf and turnerpro
wish i had winols and a good definition file!

If you want you can use file from my car. It is also BEX engine code, i made XDF for it. If there is something missing from xdf you need, yust let me know I will add it. Also I can send you my EEPROM if you need it for croshflashing

Is you ecu the 518as or the us version... dont rember the vag code?
Now I see... 518AH...
Do u think a crossflash will work

Got a new ECU from ebay and this one is working great in bootmode!
Did use my tune file with only map changes... and it´s working again .. with alot of emission errors ofcourse and soo on .. but they will be corrected in time with some trial and errors ......
But Nyet i found a "few" address that wasnt the same on my 518AS to yours 518AH.. and some values that are in AH and not AS... But i think i will have them worked out with AH as a reference.
So my mistake.. from the beginning to not double-check or triple-check everything .... But seems like I on the right way to get it to working now.
Just to redo everything again without errors...I hope!
