how do you make ols files writable for m5.9 ecu's after you modify your file ?

not understanding the question.

If you've modified a flash (from an OLS or otherwise), to create a BIN just choose Export from the file menu (crtl+E)

thankyou  i will definitely try it    the last time i tried it i ended up with a file  4 times bigger then my original lol

you probably save the project last time, not just the bin. When i first started playing with winols i thought all that came out was the bin and you just save that, but if you create a project you can easily keep different revisions and see changes and comparisons.
